​Opened April 1881
1:  Elliott Durham opened its doors to pupils 3rd September 1966 so would have been built 1965 ish and bought three previous Secondary Schools together. Morley Boys, Huntingdon Boys and Sycamore Girls. It was first called Bilateral School but sometime later became a Comprehensive due to lots of political arguments at the time. It was named after a Canadian who had been a local mayor I think who was known as Alderman Elliott Durham. (Polly Sumpton)  .......
