- For those who require a broader focus: please remember that there are other sites that can fulfil that need
- Members of the facebook group can contribute (post comments etc)
- Membership is NOT automatic
- All applicants should have a strong pre 1970 connection with the area
- This site is non political, non racist, non sexist and no offensive language is allowed. No advertising permitted. Any such posts will be deleted immediately - and may result in the offending member/s being banned from the group.
GUIDELINES
Images, stories and comments about St Ann's Well Road
All should be relevant to the period prior to 1970
Images of the City of Nottingham
These are also welcome - eg perhaps where we worked, shopped and socialised. All stories/comments, photographs, etc should be relevant to the period prior to 1970 so that we can all see how the area we knew developed and evolved from an historical point of view
Images of the Demolition
Images of the demolition period with boarded up buildings and partly demolished streets are discouraged – these can be seen on the Picture the Past website.
If we start uploading post 1970’s images (of which there are potentially hundreds,) our site will be swamped with them – far better to track down those rare snaps in black and white either online or in the family archives!
Links and Images
Posting of external links to the numerous nostalgia sites (such as “Life in the 1940’s 50’s & 60’s) on to our site are also not encouraged. This group is very specifically St Anns Well Road!!

When images and links
do not comply with the group's guidelines
they will be deleted.
Facebook automatically deletes
comments subsequent to the original posting....
so please be aware of that before adding to posts.
Memories, photos and documents should thus reflect the area
when it was a dynamic thriving community,
(shops, schools , churches, the people, buildings and unique characters
which made it what it was) - and how we used to live and work in the area.
Very simple really...Pre. Demolition 1970-
