GUIDELINES
Members
Any member can introduce new members, but an admin (Mavis Baker or Tony Miller) must approve them before they are added to the group. Admin always sends a message to all who click on 'join'. We ask what their connection with St Ann’s Well Rd is: for example - born there/which schools they went to and streets where they lived. (This assists other members in recognising them once they are added. A response is required. There are a couple of reasons why we do this. -It enable us to introduce new members and also to identify facebook ‘trolls’ who have no valid reason to be in our group.
Images, stories and comments about St Ann's Well Road
All should be relevant to the period prior to 1970
Images of the City of Nottingham
These are also welcome - eg perhaps where we worked, shopped and socialised. All stories/comments, photographs, etc should be relevant to the period prior to 1970 so that we can all see how the area we knew developed and evolved from an historical point of view
Images of the Demolition
Images of the demolition period with boarded up buildings and partly demolished streets are discouraged – these can be seen on the Picture the Past website.
If we start uploading post 1970’s images (of which there are potentially hundreds,) our site will be swamped with them – far better to track down those rare snaps in black and white either online or in the family archives!
Links and Images
Posting of external links to the numerous nostalgia sites (such as “Life in the 1940’s 50’s & 60’s) on to our site are also not encouraged. This group is very specifically St Anns Well Road!!

Memories, photos and documents should thus reflect the area
when it was a dynamic thriving community,
(shops, schools , churches, the people, buildings and unique characters
which made it what it was) - and how we used to live and work in the area.
Very simple really...Pre. Demolition 1970-
