(Northampton to Jackson St)
This great photo is Albert Pratt who with his wife Maud lived next door to Dad above their general store/grocery at 24 Belle View Road. Albert was Edna Pratt's uncle. Edna was married to my Dad's uncle Stan Clark of Young St.
Albert fought in WWI with the 8th Battalion of the Rifle Brigade
and was wounded at the Battle of Hooge in 1915 when the Germans used flame throwers for the first time.
Most of the battalion was decimated. Dad says Albert never took his cap off!
