He and Eliza had one child. Military History He served in the Army Cyclist Corps 6th Bn. He died of pneumonia and is buried in Le Cateau Communal Cemetery (grave reg. I.7). Extra Information Nottingham Evening Post notice (abridged), 27 November 1918: 'Walker. Private FE Walker, husband of Eliza Walker, died November 21st of pneumonia in France. Wife and child, 6 Swanwick Street.' Cemetery: TRACK X CEMETERY Commonwealth Grave No 157592 - Military History Pte. Watts volunteered for service and attested on 06/06/1915 at Nottingham. He was posted to 17th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters the same day. He embarked for France on 06/03/1916. The battalion was engaged in fighting at the very start of the Third battle of Ypres and Pte. Watts was killed in action. He was buried at Track X Cemetery, near Ypres. Family History Son of Mr. J. T. and Mrs. A. Watts, of 7, Swanwick St., St. Ann's Well Rd., Nottingham. Father John T. Watts, born in 1877 in Derby and working as a brick carter before becoming a coal hewer. Mother: Ada Watts, born in 1875 in Derby. Sister: Emily, born in 1902 at Derby. The family lived at & Truman Street, Ilkeston Junction, Derbyshire before moving to 7 Swanwick Street, St. Ann's Well Road, Nottingham. Employment/Hobbies John T. Watts worked as carter before becoming a colliery underground pony driver.
