(The Wells Rd to Blue Bell Hill Rd)
Map 1920s Nice map showing boundary's of housing along Colborn, Bluebell Hill,Thirlmere and Thorneywood Mount some unusual markings along the backs of Thorneywood towards St Ann's Hospital. The allotment of Wells Road also being shown. never went too far into this site,. local residents were very vigilant. There were many areas with clay pits, Coppice rec, BRS ( where opposite was a brick manufacturer, I believe called Lee) the mounts at Sneinton, an area to the left of Woodborough Road going out of Nottingham after St Judes and of course the former large sites off Porchester/Burgass Road (Honeywood Gardens) and what is now Springwood Gardens off Woodthorpe Drive, Clay extraction is still happening to the West of Dorket Head with permission to extract eastwards towards Nottingham, although modern uses for former clay pits workings have been for landfill facilities for household waste not housing.
