Father: James Broadhead, born 1865 at Nottingham and working as a cabinet maker. Mother: Alice Broadhead, born in 1875 at Nottingham. He had four brothers; James, born 1897, Harold (served and servived the war) , born 1900, John B., born1902 and Ernest, born 1907. He also had one sister, Lydia, born in 1909. All the children were born in Nottingham. The family lived at 5 Enoch Terrace, Simon Street, Peas Hill Road, Nottingham.
Military History
He died of wounds only a week before hostilities ceased near the town of Le Cateau, and was buried at Busigny Communal Cemetery Extension
