He was the son of William and Mary Ellen Hobson and the brother of John William, Emma, Mabel and Sydney Hobson. In 1901 and 1911 they lived at 47 Robin Hood Street St Ann's Nottingham.
Military History
Former Air mechanic 1st class Frank Harold Hobson, enlisted into the Royal Naval Air Service, on 27th November 1914. He was a former engineer machine constructor. He went out to the Dardenelles on 11th September 1915. He was admitted to hospital on 6th Ocotber 1915 HMS Grantally Castle suffering from Typhoid He was transferred via Malta to England. He had been invalided from the service on 12th March 1916 and died in Nottingham on 13th March 1919.

Owen was the first of the three brothers to be killed. Harry served with the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (35769 Private) and was killed on 14 April 1917 (Thiepval Memorial). John, who served with the Durham Light Infantry (375643 Private), was killed on 31 May 1918 (Soissons Memorial).
