HODGKINSON, Henry Stanley
Rank Private Service number 14227 Regiment Machine Gun Corps (Infantry Date of death 07 Feb 1917 Age at death 31 Employment/Hobbies In 1911 he was a lace warper. Family History Henry Stanley Hodgkinson was born in 1886 the son of Henry Truman a lace maker and Eliza Ann Hodgkinson (née Greasley) who died in 1902 aged 51. His father was born in 1847 Basford and his mother in 1852 at Nottingham. Married in 1876 at Radford, they had six children. Henry’ siblings surviving infancy were Mabel b.1878, Florence b.1882, Clarice b.1885 and Kate Lilian b1890. All the children were born at Nottingham. In 1911 the family lived at 2 Laurel Avenue Dame Agnes Street Nottingham. Henry’s father worked in the lace industry and Kate was a machinist.
