- Soon seven people -all ex St Ann's Well Rd Nottingham who were born about the same time and who lived mostly in the same area prior to the 1970 demolition - were active on the site.
- Similar childhood memories including schools, churches, and youth organisations were shared.
- It is these memories to which the site is still devoted: - Tony’s personal memories, our personal memories, our parents' memories and the history of St. Ann's Well Rd prior to the demolition (1970).
- Members celebrate what we had, where we grew up - the people and places that were part of our lives. It is a lasting testament to growing up in and around St Ann's Well Road, with its photographs, historical documents, maps and most importantly, numerous personal memories of living in this area of Nottingham before the demolition.
- July 2012 Mavis Baker joined the facebook group and was soon asked by Tony to become joint admin. Mavis undertook to build the website, collating the growing memories and photos in the facebook group.
- January 2024 The original public facebook group St Anns Well Road Pre Demolition (1970) Online Community had grown to 2,700 members. The difficult decision was made to pause the group indefinitely and become a 'read only' site.
A new private group St Anns Well Road Pre 1970 was established and old members were pre-approved for joining. - 24th Sept 2023 Tony announced he felt the time had come for him to stand aside as admin and to find someone to take over his role. Tony and Mavis had been overseeing/monitoring this group more or less round the clock for over 12 years.
- June 2024 Tony Miller R,I,P.
- 2nd July 2025 Tony remembered with the launch of a Nottingham bus named after him.
