THE ELMS

The Elms Junior school around 1960. I'm on the end, far right, bottom row. The only one I can put a name to here is Frances Hendry. Second row, five in from the right. (Carol Hart)

Both photos are of elms school, the top one is early fifties may be 1954/55. bottom one late fifties maybe 1958-1960. I am in the bottom one, bottom row fourth form the left brother Graham in the top picture second row third from the Right. The only other person I recognise is Alan mcgalloway sitting bottom row third from the Right......David Lee

names...Back row 1st left Malcolm Topping, 3rd left Me, 4th left Brian "Smiffy" Smith, 6th Jim(?) Russell, 8th Kenneth Medd (Mead?). Front row far right Julian Gaylard. 2nd row 5th left Valerie Clay. 3rd row 1st left Carl (I think) he was Canadian, here because his dad was with the RAF. He and his mum came to my house when I was off school with a broken leg and he gave me a pile of American Comics - Chip n Dale, Daffy Duck etc. The first time I'd seen anything like that and far better than anything we had at the time.
