This is a picture of Thomas Bow Lamartine Street. Thomas Bow were celebrating 150years in business and were asking for pictures and information of their past. I sent this picture. The only information I have regarding it is that I think one of the men in the picture is my mothers brother Trevor Swain who I never met.if anybody has any more information I would be very interested. Family History
Ernest was born in 1897. His mother, Charlotte Carter, (b. 1855), of 66 Lamartine Street, St Ann's, Nottingham, is described as 'married' in the 1911 Census. Her children, Florence and Ernest, were in the house at the time of the census but not her husband. Ernest's army record indicates that both his parents had died by 1919. Ernest's personal effects comprised a medical health ticket, two prayer books, a testament and photos and these were returned sometime after 14 February 1916 to his sister, Florence, c/o 68 Lamartine Street. Florence (b. 1895) was married by May 1919 (married name 'Lockley'), and had moved to Small Heath, Birmingham.

Member of 2nd Nottingham Company Boys' Brigade (Dakeyne Street Lads' Club). Mechanic, Post Office Telephones.

Richard Burton Everitt was born in 1887 the son of Joseph a general labourer and Emma Everitt (née Burton). Richard had ten siblings. Married in 1879.. In 1911 they lived at 39 Dame Agnes Street St Ann’s Nottingham. Richard married Maud Bertha Wilson on 23rd December 1911 at St Ann’s Parish Church and they had two children, Elsie May born 3rd May 1912 and Florence Bertha born 17th June 1913. They lived at 69 Plantagenet Street and later 30 Lamartine Street (both St Ann’s). In February 1918, Maud started receiving a weekly pension of 22/11d for herself and two children.

Fred Twigger
Fred Twigger was born in 1892 the son of George William a coal miner and Selina Twigger (née Hayes) of 47, Buxton Street, Meadows, Nottingham. George Twigger was born in 1871 at Annesley, Nottinghamshire, Selina Hayes in 1873 at Derby. They were married in 1891 at Nottingham and had 7 children, 2 of whom died in infancy. Their children included Fred b.1892, John b.1895, George b.1899, Tom (1903-1904) and Arthur b.1908. Fred's father George died in 1908 in Nottingham aged 36. Fred married Ethel Renshaw at Nottingham in 1912 and they had 2 children – Fred (1913-1916) and Ethel b.1915. They lived at 8, Martha Terrace, Goodhead Street, Nottingham. John Twigger
John Twigger was born in 1895 the son of George William a coal miner and Selina Twigger (née Hayes). George was born in 1871 at Annesley, Nottinghamshire (died 1908 aged 36), Selina Hayes in 1873 at Derby. Married in 1891, they had seven children two of whom died in infancy. Amongst their children were Fred b.1892, John b.1895, George b.1899, Tom (1903-1904) and Arthur b.1908. All the children were born at Nottingham. In 1911 they lived at 47, Buxton Street, Meadows, Nottingham. Selina was a washer woman and Fred a miner. John Twigger enlisted at Nottingham, went missing in action on 21st March 1918 and was presumed dead on that date in May 1919.
