Leicester Street… I have posted the photo of the kids before but just found this one showing the view looking down Leicester Street. They were taken the same day. The beer off which was on the corner of Luther Avenue was run by Tom and Gladys Stocks … and Frank and Margaret Butler before them..(I think their grandson Nathan Butler is on this site) my mum and sister both worked there. It looks as if it’s boarded up so this photo I’m guessing is around 1969 (Patricia Ann Terrington)
This photo was taken on Leicester Street - Rushworth Avenue is just behind the boys who are:- left to right Mark Keetley Robert Wilson David Sheridan - my brother David Taylor - Tony Keetley and Robert Keetley. May and Ron Ward lived in the house on the corner - they had twins Peter and Geoffrey- who are still in contact with my mum and dad. If I remember right The Winters lived on the other corner - the only one I can recall was Granny Winters — with Mark Keetley, Robert Wilson, David Sheridan, David Taylor, Tony Keetley and Robert Keetley.
