David O'Brien: I seem to think the other Newcombe was Raymond but it was a fairly wide age range in their family and even wider in my own. In my memory I get Alan and Raymond confused. He lived in the bay windowed house to the left of his head. We were probably gatecrashers or photobombers as the other 4 were dressed for church or something. Alan standing at the front was true to his character as he was not inhibited. We were dressed in street play clothes so the urchin look was not how Alan would dress for a photo and his Mum would have been horrified.
